  1. Prepare 1/2 cup of tuvar (arhar) dal.
  2. Prepare 1/2 cup of basmati rice.
  3. Prepare 1/2 spoon of cumin seeds.

  5. Provide 1/2 tsp of hing.
  6. Use 2 of dry red chillies.
  7. Take 1 of onion cut into small pieces.
  8. Take 1 of grated tomato.

  11. Take 1/2 spoon of red chilli powder.
  12. Prepare 1/2 spoon of green chilli & ginger garlic paste.
  13. Provide 1/2 tsp of Everest kitchen king masala.
  14. Use 1/2 tsp of Kasturi methi.
  15. You need 5 of garlic cloves chopped into small pieces.
  16. You need 2 of green chillies cut vertically in between.
  17. You need 7-8 of curry leaves.
  18. Get As per taste of Salt.

Instructions to make Dal tadka & jeera rice:

  1. First, wash rice three to four times & then cook rice in steamer till it is done..
  2. Now take dal in a vessel & wash dal properly four to five times & pressure cooker it on low flame till 5 whistles Add slight salt & 1/2 spoon haldi powder in washed dal..
  3. Now take a pan & put 2 spoons of ghee & 1 spoon of oil in it When the pan is hot add rai (mustard seeds) & then add cumin seeds & little hing Then add dry red chili Then chopped onions & stir it properly till the onion is translucent & add 7 to 8 curry leaves & then green chili, ginger & garlic paste..
  4. Now mix all this properly then add grated tomato & stir it till oil separates Then add all dry spices one by one & stir it properly & then add chopped coriander leaves..
  5. Now after two minutes you will see that oil is separated At this stage add cooked dal in it & stir it properly Now when dal starts boiling add 1/2 spoon Kasturi methi..
  6. Now when dal is completely boiled take dal in the serving bowl & now make tadka on it by adding butter in the tadka pan & then cumin seeds & chopped garlic, green chili, coriander little & pinch of red chili powder..
  7. Now mix this tadka on dal & give it a quick stir Now your dal tadka is ready to Serve..
  8. Now heat tadka pan & add 2 spoon ghee in it then add cumin seeds & add this tadka on cooked basmati rice & add little chopped coriander leaves Now mix gently & jeera rice is ready to Serve.
  9. Now serve dal tadka & jeera rice with roasted papad & enjoy your dinner..
